The year 2015 corresponds to the Chinese lunar year Yi Wei, and the Chinese Zodiac year of the Goat. Goats are intelligent, calm and inquisitive. The Chinese people often use the three goats image as a season's greeting during the Chinese New Year. Through the common practice of homophonic punning,"three goats"sound like"three suns."The words san yang kai tai thus mean "the winter has passed, and with the coming spring, all things will be new and auspicious." |
