The design shows an engraving of the thirteenth President and Vice President of the Republic of China. An inscription along the upper edge of the coin reads: "Commemorating the Inauguration of the thirteenth President and Vice President of the Republic of China", while another along the lower edge reads: "The Fifth Elected by Popular Vote", and "20 May 2012".

The design shows the insignia of the Office of the President and the inscription(in English) "COMMEMORATING THE 20 MAY 2012 INAUGURATION OF THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA THE FIFTH ELECTED BY POPULAR VOTE".

Description

In order to celebrate the inauguration of the thirteenth President and Vice President of the Republic of China, two commemorative coins are issued. These commemorative coins are legal tender. The gold coin has a denomination of NT$2,000.
