This 90th anniversary commemorative medal depicts a $1 coin from 1933 and circulating coins for 2023 in various denominations. The two curved lines evocative of metal strips symbolize an unbroken 90-year history, while the flower shape indicates the Central Mint’s blooming development.

The reverse shows the coin manufacturing process in a layered pattern. From bottom to top, the production methods are: rough rolling, fine rolling, blanking, rimming, and coining. The inner cartouche shows a hand-carved plaster plate. The pattern on the plaster plate is the same as the pattern on the obverse. This self-reference shows the Central Mint’s design ingenuity and exquisite craftsmanship.
