The round border of the flower bed and a sweeping ribbon representing a rolling strip form a “9” and a “0”. Underneath the ribbon are circles symbolizing planchets. The Central Mint’s 90th anniversary is proclaimed on the curving ribbon to suggest innovation and longevity. |

To mark 2023, the year of the Kui-Mao Rabbit and also the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Central Mint, the reverse is decorated with a rabbit and the figure 90. The surface of the numbers is decorated with coin patterns and the Central Mint’s logo. Azaleas, which are found around the Central Mint, surround the figure. On the left a butterfly is flying, symbolizing a spring full of vitality and blessings. |
