Using points as the basic element of its design, the stamp features various representations of fireworks erupting in skyward blooms to celebrate the blossoming of democratic and pluralistic values in Taiwan.

Engraved in the upper part is the logo of Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.; below this, the Chinese characters reading “Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.” and “9999 Au” and “10 g.” The traditional Chinese characters reading “Mintage Undertaken by the Central Mint” are engraved bottom-most.

In the Republic of China’s (Taiwan’s) 15th-term presidential and vice presidential elections, Tsai Ing-wen was elected president and Lai Ching-te was elected vice president. In celebration and as an expression of respect for our nation’s leaders, Chunghwa Post has issued 1,000 pieces of commemorative pure gold ingot. Its theme derives from the design of the NT$8 stamp (Blossoming) of The Inauguration of the 15th-term President and Vice President Commemorative Issue. Also issued are 520 sets of The Inauguration of the 15th-term President and Vice President Commemorative Set of Pure Gold Ingot and Fine Silver Ingot. Each set includes 1 piece of the pure gold ingot. The exquisite engraving and the fine casting method of this ingot in a special limited-edition minting make it a highly collectable artifact with a commemorative meaning.
