The design of the image is taken from the 3 candarin-denominated stamp of the “Large Dragon Stamp,” which was the first set of stamps issued by the Chinese Maritime Customs Service. The main image features a dragon flying in the clouds and holding a precious dragon pearl which is an auspicious, distinguished, and authoritative symbol of Chinese culture. |

Its theme derives from the “1st Customs Dragon Issue,” the abbreviated name being “Large Dragon Stamp,” which was issued during the Qing dynasty, in the 4th year of Emperor Guangxu. |
