The Year 2011 is the"Xin Mao"Year of the Rabbit. Because rabbits have a gentle disposition and are quick in their movements, they are auspicious symbols of peace immortalized in Chinese legend as the Jade Rabbit visible on the face of the moon.

The Chihkan Tower in Tainan City, Taiwan, also known as Fort Provintia, was built in 1653 by the Dutch. For its three hundred fifty-eight years of history, it is officially recognized as a first-class national monument of the Republic of China.
