The design of the image is taken from the 3 candarin-denominated stamp of the “Large Dragon Stamp,” which was the first set of stamps issued by the Chinese Maritime Customs Service. The main image features a dragon flying in the clouds and holding a precious dragon pearl which is an auspicious, distinguished, and authoritative symbol of Chinese culture.

Engraved in the upper part is the logo of Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.; below this, the Chinese characters reading “Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.” and “Ag999” and “1/2oz.” The traditional Chinese characters reading “Mintage Undertaken by the Central Mint” are engraved bottom-most.

Description

TAIPEI 2023 – 39th Asian International Stamp Exhibition is held on August 11-15, 2023, at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. To commemorate this great event, this Post has specially issued 1,500 pieces of the Auspicious Dragon Fine Silver Ingot. Its theme derives from the “1st Customs Dragon Issue,” the abbreviated name being “Large Dragon Stamp,” which was issued during the Qing dynasty, in the 4th year of Emperor Guangxu. Also issued are 500 sets of the collectable set, each including 1 piece each of the pure gold ingot and fine silver ingot.
